Painting sunsets requires plenty of preparation before starting because you are against the clock.  The light here before sunset was almost ethereal and I knew that in order to capture it, I would have two hours at most before the sun would disappear. 

As I concluded the painting, I could hear the sounds of the nocturnal forest fauna stirring as daytime animals retired for the night and other hungry and bigger ones woke up.
