In the Amazon I learnt that it is good to paint river scenes in the early morning or evening on account of how the light catches the water at these times of day.  Throughout the day as the light changes the Amazon river cycles through endless permutations of reflected greens and blues.  Here I capture the evening light, which would produce warm pinks and golds in the sky to complement the surrounding forest hues.
