Painted deep in the Amazon Rainforest, only accessible by a three hour boat journey along the meandering Uatamã River.  The area was flooded at the time, resulting in the trees magically springing out of the water.  The open space encouraged much bird life, especially pairs of blue and yellow and red parrots.  Dusk onwards, swimming was discouraged as the alligators slunk off from their shady, reef hidden residences in search of dinner!
